Game Engine Documentation
The complete technical manual for Gigling Tactics. Understand the deterministic generation engine, combat mathematics, and the ranked economy to dominate the arena.
Overview
Gigling Tactics is a strategic 3v3 auto-battler built on top of the Abstract Chain. It takes your real Gigling Racing NFTs and deterministically converts their racing histories, traits, and rarity into playable trading cards.
Live Data Synchronization: The game automatically syncs your cards with the Gigaverse API every day. If your NFT races more, its card stats will dynamically evolve the next time it's synced.
How to Play
Card Generation Engine
The generation engine creates stats deterministically. Two core components combine to form the Overall Rating (OVR) of your card. Skill is mathematically weighted higher than Rarity.
OVR = TraitScore × 0.4 + PerformanceScore × 0.6The resulting 0-100 composite score is then linearly mapped onto the 40-99 display band. This ensures the full visual range is utilized, preventing all cards from bunching at the mathematical floor.
A base weight derived from the NFT's literal rarity tier, plus a deterministic bonus derived from its traits. Higher rarity guarantees a higher mathematical floor, from a baseline of 15 (Common) up to 100 (Giga).
Derived entirely from the NFT's live racing history. The engine normalizes real-world data against caps to prevent flatlining.
- Win Rate 40% weight
- Total Wins 25% weight
- ELO Rating 20% weight
- Races Run 15% weight
Individual Stats
During combat, a card's OVR is broken down into four foundational battle stats (40 to 99).
Derived from Finish Range + Win Rate + Offensive Traits. Determines raw damage output.
Derived from Stamina Range + Race Experience. Mitigates incoming attack damage.
Derived from Speed/Start Ranges. Determines exactly who attacks first each turn.
Derived from Stamina + Reveals + Experience. Multiplied by 4x in actual combat.
Factions & Synergies
Every Gigling belongs to a faction. Building around factions unlocks team synergies.

Active Synergies
Rarities & Specials
A card's rarity mirrors its Gigling's on-chain rarity. Higher rarities not only have a higher stat floor, but they also trigger their Special Attack more frequently and with a higher multiplier.

Traits & Abilities
Traits are converted directly into battle abilities. Abilities scale up based on the Tier (1-3) of the trait on the NFT.
Combat System
Combat plays out automatically over a maximum of 15 turns. Understanding the mathematics of the combat engine is critical to building a winning squad.
Every turn, the engine sorts all living combatants by their Effective Speed. Speed determines initiative—attacking first is a massive advantage because a dead unit cannot counter-attack.
EffectiveSpeed = BaseSpeed × (1 + TraitBoost) + (Luck ÷ 10)Note: Luck serves as a micro-tiebreaker when Base Speeds are identical.
Damage is resolved using a net-difference formula. Defense directly subtracts from incoming Attack power, making highly defensive tanks very difficult to kill without raw DPS.
Damage = Math.max(1, (Attack × SpecialMultiplier) - (Defense × 0.5))Note: Special attacks (based on rarity) multiply the base Attack before Defense is subtracted, making them devastating.
Battles are fast and lethal due to the 4x Health multiplier. If the battle reaches turn 15 without a total team wipe, the victor is decided by the highest remaining total team Health percentage.
Every card has a hidden Luck stat (1-20). The engine rolls a d20 against this stat; a success results in a Critical Hit, dealing 1.5x damage on top of the base calculation.
Ranked Arenas
Gigling Tactics utilizes a rigorous, dynamic matchmaking engine designed to scale with your skill level and prevent easy rating inflation.
The AI doesn't just pick random cards. It targets your team's strength, then adjusts for your recent win/loss streak—tougher foes when you're winning, easier ones when you're losing—and tightens the match band at higher ELO.
Sustained win streaks raise the opponent's target OVR (up to +8), so climbing requires genuinely stronger squads—not just volume.
The ranking economy scales with the arena tier you fight in, rewarding climbs into higher brackets.
- • Victory Reward: +15 to +30 (scales with arena tier)
- • Defeat Penalty: about half the tier's win value
- • Draw: +5
Higher tiers grant bigger swings, so consistent high-tier wins climb fastest.
